Upland
A scenic spot with our good friend Scott Sprague and guide Terry Abney. One of the many scenic areas we hunt for pheasant and quail.
Our good friend Scott Sprague hunting pheasants and quail with guide Terry Abney during a beautiful sunrise.
Our great friends from MI and MN had a perfect morning in the field! Pictured are: Gary Putrow, Jacob Medgaarden, Steve Garbisch, Chris Garbisch, & Scott Bazinet. Nice crisp morning and plenty of quail and pheasants in the field!
Our new friends from Panama had an incredible pheasant hunt! We look forward to seeing the Felix Abadia family on their next trip to Heartland
Bob shooting a flushing quail out of the foxtail. Wild quail love foxtail seed and we try to leave a few strips of foxtail along with Milo for a food source.
Bob and Terry hunting one of our pheasant fields. This field is known to hold a lot of pheasants. (Quail too)
We have many different types of fields. This is our short brome grass field. We also have fields that have thicker and taller native prairie grasses for late season. All fields are great. Some hold pheasants better, some hold quil better and some fields seem to have an equal amount of both quail and pheasants.
Each year Heartland hosts a youth upland hunt. Its always a lot of fun for the young hunters, their parents and our guides.
