We have just entered the final stretch of what has thus far been a phenomenal turkey season here at Harpole’s Heartland Lodge.  This season has been packed with memories as one of our hunters added another state to his list in a quest to tag a bird in all fifty.  We also had the privilege of leading two hunters in the harvesting of their first turkeys.  The excitement and anticipation with which I began this season has been met with equally exciting experiences.  The end of turkey season has me itching for whitetail.  I can’t wait to see what the rest of spring and summer bring as their antlers begin to grow.
