Summer Internship Update

9/3/2012

Aaron PohlIt’s hard to believe that September is already here and that summer is coming to an end. It’s crazy to think about how quickly my internship is passing by and there is no doubt in my mind that the next three months will be as enjoyable as my first three here at Heartland Lodge. Though time has flown by we have accomplished a lot over the summer here around the property. We have finished up our new snack shack which is looking great and is just about ready to be put to use, so if you’re here staying with us feel welcome to take a look on the inside and check out the camouflage finish. The roses we planted along our new sidewalk at the beginning of the summer have nearly doubled in size, and are blooming despite the harsh dry weather we have had all summer long. They may not have made it without the soaker hoses we have used to keep them well hydrated.  I have enjoyed doing the hayrides this summer because it has allowed me to meet many awesome people and scope out the big bucks along the way with them. Fall is coming around the corner and it is bringing deer season with it, which all of us here at Heartland Lodge are excited for. We are looking forward to a great season and are anxious to see what opportunities it provides our hunters with! In the last few weeks you can feel the eagerness in the air as we have been preparing for season from setting up tree stands to trying not to check our trail cameras every three days. Check out our Facebook page and see some of the pictures of big bucks we have posted. If you are looking for a place to hunt this fall we still have a few spots available, we are also currently taking booking for the 2013 season! Live and hunt well!

Re: Summer Internship Update
We had the privilege of meeting Aaron last week during our annual trip to the lodge - he was the driver for our hayride and was very accommodating to those of us wanting to take pictures! Thanks, Aaron and enjoy the next three months.
