2012-2013 Pheasant & Quail Hunting Season Summary

no comments

April 2013 and another Upland Bird Season at Heartland Lodge has come and gone.  We had many great hunts over the 2012-2013 period and we met and made friends with a number of folks both young and older.  A number of father and son groups hunted with us and some consisted of a young son, on his first bird hunt with his dad while some were older, very experienced hunters that brought their dad hunting.  At any rate, young or older, many great memories were made and I know that over the coming years many discussions about the hunt, the dogs, the birds, the shooting and the food at the lodge will be the topics talked about.

Now is the time to begin preparing for this coming fall season.  Take time to sharpen your shooting skills by going to the trap range.  Familiarize those in your group with the safe operation of their firearms and make a list of what you may need to do in preparing for your hunt.  If you want to book a hunt, call us anytime and we can help you with any information that you may need and assist you in selecting the best time for your visit.

As the spring progresses I will be writing about several aspects of Upland Bird Hunting at Heartland Lodge that will hopefully be both interesting and informative.
