Four Time Olympic Gold Medalist, Kim Rhode Visits, Heartland
Kim Rhode, who is a four time Olympic medalist, was the guest speaker at the 12th annual Clays for Scouting Shoot at Harpole's Heartland Lodge. Kim is the youngest woman for any country in the world to make an Olympic Shooting Team. Kim has placed in the last four Olympics:
Atlanta-Gold
Sydney-Bronze
Athens-Gold
Beijing -Silver
Kim is planning on competing in the next Olympics in London. Kim has also won many other events. She is a nine time World Cup Gold Medalist, Twelve Times National Champion, and Six Times USA Shotgun Female Athlete of the Year.
Kim and her husband Mike enjoyed two days at Heartland. They arrived the night before the Boy Scouts Clays event and took in the lodge and its surroundings. Then they spent the next day with over 220 supporters of the Boy Scouts. Kim was the guest speaker and shared her many Olympic experiences. The crowd was very pleased to have her at the event this year.
It was another great day, as the weather couldn't have been nicer and the people any better! This annual event raises over $20,000 each year to help support the area Boy Scouts.
