Gun tag application, 

It’s time to start thinking about your application for any non-resident and resident gun tag.  The proposed application period for the non-resident and resident lottery deadline is August 15th.  Hunters will be able to start the application process on June 1^st at 12:01 am. 

All of our hunters are encouraged to get their applications and licenses on-line at http://www.dnr.state.il.us/.  Click on the top right icon: “Online Licenses for Fishing and Hunting”.

 In addition to a valid deer hunting permit all hunters are required to purchase either a 5-day or annual Hunting License and a Habitat Stamp.  These, along with your gun tag application, are available by phone at 1-888-6PERMIT (1-888-673-7648), or on-line through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources at: http://www.dnr.state.il.us/
