A unique ambiance will permeate your senses when you step through the door of this Illinois bed and breakfast. As soon as you slip off your shoes to glide over the gleaming solid oak floors of the dining room toward the Great Room you'll notice the delicious aroma of "Grandma's" cooking wafting through the air. Other Illinois bed and breakfasts offer you a bagel or a muffin for breakfast, but here you get a hearty, home-cooked meal to start your day off right. As you marvel at the two-story stone fireplace, the Remington statues, the inviting sofas and chairs, and gaze out the floor-to-ceiling windows you'll catch a glimpse of the hundreds of yellow finches nesting in the trees around the lodge. The temptation to step out onto the large back deck is irresistible. Here is where you begin to understand what really sets Heartland Lodge apart from other Illinois resorts. Fresh air washes over you as you sink into one of the Amish crafted rocking chairs. The blessed sound of silence that envelopes the countryside is broken only by the occasional bird song. Stepping back inside, you're escorted to your room. You'll quickly discover that the rooms in this Illinois bed and breakfast are named and complete with matching decor. Illinois hotels may tolerate room numbers, but here, every room has its own unique character. They do have a few things in common: private bathrooms, thick towels, comfortable beds, ceiling fans and absolute cleanliness.

Regular Room - There are eleven regular rooms. These rooms have two extra long, triple sheeted twin beds with a private bathroom. Each room is decorated to a certain theme according to its name.

Angler Room - This room has a queen size, triple sheeted bed and a set of bunk beds. This room also has a private bath and is decorated in a fishing theme.

Whitetail Suite - This room has a King size, triple sheeted canopy bed and a private jacuzzi. A walkout porch is nice to view the wildlife that comes to the feeders.

Luxury Suite - There are seven luxury suites in our new lodge. These suites have King size, triple sheeted canopy beds, private Jacuzzi, fireplace, day bed, comfy chairs, walkout porch, and are decorated according to its own theme. The ultra comfy beds have become an attraction themselves!

Conference Rooms - We have a 1500sq ft conference area and a separate board room. The board room seats sixteen people. Wireless access and telephone lines are available for connecting to the internet to outside sources. We have all of your corporate conference amenities available for your meetings.

Rec Room - This room has a television, pool table, card table, and library. Restrooms are available in this room.

Great Room - This room has a large stone fireplace, Remington statues, and a large open ceiling. This room is pictured on the front of the colored brochure.

Special Note - All guests need to remove their shoes in the mudroom. You may bring house slippers or just wear your heavy socks. Our guests really enjoy this feature. Just like home.

Do you need a break? Is life and work a little hectic right now? Treat yourself to a pampered get-away at Heartland. Many individuals visit Heartland solo to recharge those batteries!!

Bring a book and relax next to one of our fireplaces. Enjoy a soothing bath in one of our Jacuzzis or pamper yourself in our ultra comfy King sized beds. (In Luxury Suites Only)

If you are looking for a little excitement you can take a horse or an ATV ride. You can also set out on foot and hike across the hundreds of acres that surround Heartland. You may even find a mushroom or two, blackberries, shed antlers, or some other hidden treasure! Each evening you can enjoy our scenic hayride and bonfire. You may also choose just to bring a bottle of wine and relax on the decks that surround the lodge and watch the wildlife and world go by!

For those that want to stay on Friday nights but can't make dinner, we have a special for you! Take $40 off our regular listed room price with meals for two! You still receive everything Heartland has to offer (including brunch) but you don't have to rush down to the lodge to make dinner. (Good any night of the week.) Helpful for those planning a Chicago vacation getaway from the city.

Full payment of your stay is due when making your reservations.

Cancellation Policy
Due to the nature of our business we ask for a 30 day cancellation notice (60 day for lodge buyouts). A process fee of 10% of your total booking will be charged when cancelling. Cancellations without 30 days (60 day for lodge buyouts) will not be refunded. If someone in your original booking party does not show, you will be charged the full amount. These policies help us provide you with better service.
