You can also take a road trip to the tourist town of Hannibal Missouri, home of Mark Twain and Huckleberry Finn or Springfield Illinois, home of Abe Lincoln and the incredible Lincoln museum. Both towns have great tourist activities and wonderful shopping. St Louis is only an hour and fifteen minutes away if you would like to take in a ballgame, go to the zoo, shop, or ride up to the top of the arch.
