Pittsfield Lake – A Hidden Jewel! (Only 17 miles from the lodge!)
You can take a lunch and go for a beautiful picnic; this lake is even great for fishing. Enjoy this 200 acre lake surrounded by 480 acres of recreational land that the public can use. Fishing at Pittsfield Lake is self guided, so bring your fishing poles and tackle. There is a bait shop in Pittsfield.
Guided Fishing Trips on the Mississippi River
Enjoy the natural beauty of the mighty Mississippi River on a guided fishing trip. This will be one fishing trip that you will always remember. Your guide will be Keith Graham from Graham Outdoor Adventures. Keith has over 41 years of experience guiding fishing trips on the Mississippi River.
Keith specializes in large sturgeon (catch and release only). If you have never caught one of these giant fish, you are in for a great fishing experience! You will also catch channel catfish, blue catfish, flathead catfish, walleye, carp, buffalo, drum perch, and bass.
You will not only enjoy great fishing but also great scenery! Along with the beautiful river, you might see river otters, beaver, eagles, ducks, geese, deer, turkeys, turtles, and many other native animals.
Full day fishing trips are eight hours, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Keith will pick you up at the lodge around 7:30am and drop you back off around 4:30pm. Half-Day fishing trips are also available; these fishing trips are four hours in length.
Morning fishing trips are from 8:00am to 12:00pm with pick up at the lodge around 7:30am. Afternoon fishing trips are from 1:00pm to 5:00pm with pick up at the lodge around 12:30. Keith�s boat can accommodate 2-3 people. He can provide fishing gear or you can bring your own.
Please bring sunglasses, sunscreen, jacket, camera and rain gear (light ponchos are provided). Also please bring any food or beverages you prefer on board.
The best fishing months are: May, June, July, August, and October. If you are not a fisherman but would like to take a river cruise, half and full day trips are available.
