June 26th-28th, 2017--This was one of the loveliest 3-day getaways I've had in a long time!  The staff was over the top friendly, kind, and helpful! We highly recommend adding the meals! they were delicious; huge servings of homemade comfort food. The lodges were all beautiful.  We stayed in the Sunset Valley Lodge. The view out of the back of the lodge was amazing-simply breathtaking!! It was so serene-a much needed break from the day to day at home! It exceeded every expectation we had! Thank  you everyone for a lovely stay!!!

June 23rd-25th, 2017--Really enjoyed our stay. Plan to return. The food was the best I've ever had and if you leave the table hungry it is your own fault.  Love how it is served family style!  Meet a lot of nice couples and enjoyed visiting where they were all from. Best of all it was a great relaxing 3 days. Thanks again!

June 15, 2017--My son and I rode motorcycles on your trails and we like them better than any other place we have been in the State! We will be back as soon as possible! We have friends and family that want to come with us.

May 26th-27th, 2017--The accommodations were excellent.  The setting is gorgeous.  However, what makes your resort so very special are your employees.  We feel like we came as visitors and left as friends.  We were blessed by our time at Harpole's  Heartland Lodge.

April 10th-13th, 2017--We had a fabulous experience. We hope to be able to get a group together to come back for another experience.

April 4th-5th, 2017--We really enjoyed our stay at your lodge. Everyone was friendly and the meals were excellent.  We definitely recommend the meal plan!  We picked your lodge because you had an ATV park. Enjoyed all the trails!  But we would return just to enjoy the area even if we didn't ride the trails.  Thanks for a great time!

March 10th-12th, 2017--My husband and I participated in the Couple's Weekend Getaway to celebrate our 14th anniversary.  We were amazed with the whole adventure, as this destination is a hunter's paradise! Not only does the lodging scream "outdoor beauty", but it was super clean as well.  From wine tasting to shooting guns, the staff was always friendly and helpful.  The food was amazing, as they definitely put a lot of heart into that deliciousness.  It was nice to be around other couples who shared the same interests.  We are impressed!

February 17, 2017--We absolutely love the area and the natural beauty.  From the time we reserved until the time we left, the staff was extremely friendly. We love the feel of the "The Family" even as the employees interact with each other and the guests.  I would recommend the whole experience to anyone even considering.  We LOVE this place.

February 10th-13th, 2017--A diamond in the rough!  We love Harpole's Lodge. The perfect place to unplug and nourish the soul.  From the beautiful lodge to the abundant land to the welcoming and accommodating staff.  This lodge and its charm just brings you back to what's important.  The simple things in life.  God, love, family and friends.  So thankful for Heartland Lodge.

February 16-18th, 2017--This was our 12th stay at Heartland Lodge and they have ALL been top quality experiences.  Miss Wanda and Gary make you feel like family.  We look forward to our return visit.

February 11th, 2017--This is my second stay and it's become one of my favorite places.  I highly recommend and will be making plans to stay again in the future.  The overall experience is amazing.

February 8th-11th, 2017-- A big thank you to the staff!  Everyone was wonderful. My husband and I booked this to re-connect in a way, as we have a new daughter and it is difficult to have husband and wife time. This place is Perfect!

January 27-29, 2017--I was there with a group of girlfriends for Girls Getaway weekend and it was Amazing! The food was amazing, servers great, the original lady was amazing!

January 8th, 2017--A wonderful place to be-to stay-and relax and unwind and just enjoy! Loved dinner and breakfast in the lodge when the bell rings-excellent food! Enjoyed every minute! Thank you!

January 21, 2017--This place is awesome, I would recommend this place to all my family and friends.  It is such a nice get away.  People here are so friendly and helpful.  I'm so happy we found a home away from home. Keep up the good work, can't wait to come visit again.

December 28-30th, 2016--Absolutely love it here! Time stands still and we were able to completely relax and enjoy.  All of the staff were WONDERFUL! Food scrumptious! Thank you for a terrific 45 year anniversary celebration!

November 24th-26th, 2016--We will return, we have stayed here twice.  First time Prairie Ridge.  Second time, four couples at Sunset Valley Lodge. We had Thanksgiving dinner there, we all bought and had the whole lodge to ourselves.  This is a beginning of many years to come. We LOVE this place and is so close to Springfield, IL. Great ATV trails too!  

November 11-13, 2016- Our room was beautiful!  It was way nicer and bigger than expected.  All the balconies over looking the fields and the Whirlpool tub were the best parts.  I wish we could come back monthly!  Can't wait to go back.

October 16th-18th, 2016- I have always wanted to go to a bed and breakfast. I saw your place on Facebook and really loved how everything looked. It truly exceeded my/our expectations.  The accommodations are just beautiful. Pictures do not do them justice.  The staff went out of their way to meet every need.  The food was unbelievably fantastic.  The owners were both personable and gracious.

This place is absolutely the most beautiful place! We live in Springfield and had no idea of this hidden gem!  We were here in Sept. and did the trails with side by sides and ATV's, stayed two nights in the Wood Duck Room. Just beautiful, the log kind size bed, the fireplace, big bathroom, and Whirlpool tub.  The meals are the best I have ever eaten. We loved it so much we are coming back in November over Thanksgiving.  Thank you so much for sharing  your beautiful place! There will  be four couples for our next stay and we will be staying at the Sunset Valley Lodge. CAN'T WAIT!

Pictures on website do not do this place justice.  It exceeded our expectations.  The entire lodge was beautiful and immaculate.  Staff was friendly and the food was delicious.

We LOVED everything about this place. Staff, rooms, and especially the food exceeded anything we could have imagined.  We were here celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and will be back!

This was a much needed get a way for my husband and I.  Like our previous stay, the food was amazing, the service was exceptional, and all the extras were just icing on the cake.  It was just what we needed to relax and reconnect.  We look forward to coming back.

Me and my girlfriend went for our one year anniversary and it was the perfect getaway. Ms. Wanda and her staff were over the top. Dinner was more than amazing and Jackie made our horse ride unforgettable! Heartland-We will be back! :)

Accommodations exceeded our expectations.  Pictures on the website are one thing, but we were even more impressed when we arrived.  Food was great and family atmosphere was very comfortable.

I was very impressed with the family atmosphere at Heartland Lodge! We came as strangers and left as friends. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed the scenic views immensely, we can't wait to come back!

Lodges very accommodating, spacious, beautifully decorated, and much attention to detail with weary traveler in mind.  The views are amazing. Meals were wonderful, activities are great, and much to do whether you want to relax in the room, lodge, outside, or be busy. We enjoyed total relaxation when needed and also played hard & dirty which we loved.  The horseback trail ride was very serene & gave us opportunity to talk to staff.  The hostess at the lodge, Melissa, was very friendly. Enticing us to want to come back as well as the pampering. Kudos!

We both had no idea what to expect on this trip and we were pleasantly surprised!  The lodge was amazing and had many activities to offer inside and out.  The food was also very delicious, your cook and servers do a wonderful job! Everyone was also so friendly! We love you guys and keep up the great work, we will be back in the future! Thanks again for everything!
