Heartland Lodge is the perfect location for a team building retreat. Heartland’s convenient but yet isolated location keeps your group together and bonding as a team the minute they step onto the property. We have all kinds of team building activities that will keep your group entertained. Our activities are perfect for both men and women, corporate and executive team building retreats and getaways, developing employee motivation, and for any group looking to bring their team closer together as one unit. A round of sporting clays is a great team building activity! Our scenic fifteen station sporting clays course will challenge your entire team and create memories that they will be talking about for months! More on our 
Riding UTV’s through our property will be sure to get everyone fired up! This will be one of the most popular activities of your retreat! We have up to ten machines available to rent with multiple seats per unit. This is a great way to get everyone out on the trails together! More on our 
Our newest attraction at the lodge this summer is our Mississippi River Tour Excursions! Enjoy a half or full day scenic river tour with our experienced boat captain that knows the historic river like “the back of his hand”! Enjoy the same river channels Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn explored!
You may not think of meals as a team building activity but at Heartland, it is! All of our meals are made from scratch (just like Grandma did) and served family style. After your retreat, ask everyone what their favorite part was, and our meals will be at the top of their list!
A favorite team building activity from all of our guests who return each year. Enjoy the scenic hour ride along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. The ride takes you along a working Elk farm, cattle and horse ranches, and turns around at one of the most scenic views of the Mississippi River valley.
If you want to create team building, make sure you add paintball to your schedule of activities. This will be a favorite among your group, and they will be laughing and talking about it for months!
One of our specialties here at the lodge is entertaining large groups of hunters. A hunting excursion can be a great alternative to the golf course for those who are looking for something their team or customers would readily enjoy. More on our 
Heartland has an exclusive arrangement with the local country club for your group to enjoy a round of golf. More on 
All guests staying overnight can enjoy our outdoor pistol range! There is no charge for using the pistol range. Some targets are provided on the range, but you may want to bring your own favorite targets. (Paper for paper targets is not provided.) Safety goggles and ear protection are strongly encouraged. Range is open from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Pistol range is unsupervised, and all shooters use facility at their own risk. It is strongly recommended that all shooters take a gun safety class before shooting any firearm. Guns and ammunition are not available at the lodge (We do have 22 shells for sale in our pro shop.)
We have 4 ponds available to fish! Rent one of our Polaris Side x Sides and fish all the ponds! A short drive from the lodge is a 200-acre lake, great for fishing. We also offered Guided Catfishing Trips on the Mississippi River!
