Prairie Ridge – Luxury Lodge with Hot Tubs & Fireplaces in Each Suite

Prairie Ridge Lodge is named after the prairie grasses that surround the resort. This lodge is also known as our luxury lodge as it has over 10,000 square feet of luxurious warmth and features seven luxury suites with hot tubs and fireplaces. All seven of the romantic luxury suites are designed the same but each one is decorated with its own theme, each theme having significant meaning related to the lodge property.
All seven luxury suites in this lodge feature:

- Mini refrigerator
- Direct access to the deck right outside your door

Each room also has its own private Adirondack chairs on the deck where you can relax first thing in the morning enjoying a cup of coffee while watching nature wake up around you. During the afternoon and evening, relax on the deck with your favorite beverage or bottle of wine. The ultra-comfy beds have become an attraction themselves!
Rooms at Prairie Ridge Lodge can be booked privately for individual guests and reservations. Prairie Ridge Lodge can also be booked privately for your group. All seven suites must be reserved for this cabin to be exclusive to your group or family. Our famous country gourmet meals are served in this lodge. The Labrador Suite is located across from the Wood Duck Box Suite off of the Recreation Room and faces the back of the lodge. This room is named after the Labrador retriever frequently used in our waterfowl and upland hunts. The room is popular with all dog lovers because it is decorated in a Labrador theme. For TV lovers – this room has an HD television. The deck location of this suite is more private with a view of the back yard and surrounding woods, making this a popular room. Located next to the Labrador Suite off of the Recreation Room, this suite faces the back of the lodge. This room is named after a valley on our upland property that pheasants seem to enjoy. The room is decorated in a pheasant theme and is popular with all of our guests. For TV lovers – this room has an HD television. The deck is more private and provides a view of the back yard and surrounding woods. This romantic luxury suite is located across from the Stage Coach Suite on the main level on the back side of the lodge. This room is named after a pond that was formed by buffalo when they roamed this area. Decorated in a buffalo and Indian theme, this room is also popular with guests who love the old west. For TV lovers – this room has an HD television. The deck is more private and has an amazing view of the back yard and surrounding woods which increases the popularity of this room. This room can also be easily accessed from the wrap-around deck. This romantic luxury suite is located on the lower level of the lodge off of the Recreation Room and faces the front of the cabin. This room is named after the wood duck boxes that you will see on our secluded ponds. The room is decorated after the wood duck and is popular with those who enjoy the beauty of the wood duck. For TV lovers – this room has a HD television. The deck location makes this suite popular as it has easy access to your room from the front of the lodge. This romantic luxury suite is located on the main level and faces the front as you walk into the lodge. This room is named after the stage coach that once traveled on the dirt road through our property. Decorated in a western theme, this suite is popular with horse lovers. For TV lovers – this room has an HD television. It is also popular as its deck has a great view of all the activity going on around the lodge. Easy access to this suite is available from the wrap-around deck. This luxury suite features an ultra-comfy king-size, triple-sheeted canopy bed, two-person hot tub, fireplace, daybed, comfy sitting area, mini refrigerator and direct access to the expansive wrap-around deck.
This romantic suite is located across from the Pheasant Ridge Suite and faces the front of the lodge. This room is named after the coveys of Bobwhite quail that are found throughout our resort. The room is decorated in a quail theme and is popular with everyone. For TV lovers – this room has an HD television. The deck faces the front of the lodge and provides easy access to your room. This luxury suite features an ultra-comfy king-size, triple-sheeted canopy bed, two-person hot tub, fireplace, daybed, comfy sitting area, mini refrigerator and direct access to the expansive wrap-around deck.
This romantic luxury suite is located next to the Buffalo Pond Suite on the main level and also faces the back of the lodge. Gobbler’s Knob is named after a knob on our property that turkey gobblers enjoy strutting on in the spring while calling out to any available hens that will listen. The room is decorated in a turkey theme and is popular with those who love turkeys and the spring. For TV lovers – this room has an HD television. It is also popular as the deck is more private and features an amazing view of the back yard and surrounding woods. Easy access to this room from the wrap-around deck increases its popularity. This luxury suite features an ultra-comfy king-size, triple-sheeted canopy bed, two-person hot tub, fireplace, daybed, comfy sitting area, mini refrigerator and direct access to the expansive wrap-around deck.
The Prairie Ridge Lodge features a Recreation Room meant for enjoyment. A pool table made out of logs, card/game table, library, big screen television, fireplace and access to an outdoor patio area ensures this will be the spot where everyone comes together.
This room is 1,500 square feet and can be used for business meetings and conferences, scrapbooking retreats, workshops and other gatherings. An outdoor patio area can be accessed from this room by two sets of French doors. A high speed internet connection is available.
The central dining hall is where all guests who have purchased the meal plan will enjoy their meals. This room is a grand area with animal mounts from all over North America. The room also features a stone fireplace and cathedral ceiling as well as access to the wrap-around deck.
Our Dining Hall is located on the main level of the lodge so during mealtimes, guests staying at other cabins that have purchased the meal plan will also be dining at Prairie Ridge. Your meal options as a guest at the lodge are to include our meal package with your reservation (highly recommended) or to visit a local dining establishment. Since our Dining Hall is located in this lodge, the kitchen is not available for guests to use to prepare their own meals. If you would like to reserve a lodge where you can prepare your own meals, we recommend either The Original or Sunset Valley Lodges. Each of these lodges features a fully-equipped kitchen and gas barbeque grill so you may prepare your own meals.
Prairie Ridge Lodge is named after the prairie grasses that surround the resort. You will see prairie grasses along many of the roads on your drive to the resort. As you enjoy the resort property by horseback, ATV or hiking, you will travel across our main ridge – also traveled by stagecoach – and you will be surrounded by the beauty of prairie grasses. Also, as you travel to Heartland Lodge, you will see several bluff prairies along the river bluffs. One of these river bluff prairies is located at our turn off Highway 96 onto Howell Hollow Road and many field biologists stay with us while working on the prairie. The rich history of the prairie ridge, its grasses and bluffs are reflected at Prairie Ridge.

Special Note: All guests need to remove their shoes in the foyer. You may bring house slippers or just wear your heavy socks while in the lodge. Our guests really enjoy this feature -it’s just like home!

Full payment of your stay is due when making your reservations.
Cancellation Policy
Due to the nature of our business, we ask for a 60-day cancellation notice for lodge buyouts (30-day for individual room reservations.) A processing fee of 10% of your total booking will be charged when cancelling. Cancellations without 60 days (30 days for individual room reservations) will not be refunded. If someone in your original booking party does not show, you will be charged the full amount. These policies help us provide you with better service.
