Thoroughly met our expectations! My husband and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary at the resort. The staff was friendly and very accommodating to our needs. The atmosphere was top notch. Everything was clean and well kept! We brought out ATV and the trails were fantastic! We will definitely be back!
Wood Duck Room was breathtaking. The whole lodge was an oasis of peace. Thank you for building such a magnificent dwelling place! I live a stressful life and I appreciated staying in a quiet get-away that was spotless, friendly and quiet!!
Much Needed Break
One of the best last minute decisions we've made in a long time. We stayed at the lodge in the super comfortable Wood Duck Room. Since we only stayed one day/night, we didn't get to experience all of the great activities offered, but are definitely another reason to return, as if the views, food and hospitality weren't already enough. Our best moment: Finding a sunny spot, shutting the ATV down and just lying there on our blanket in perfect silence. Very much needed break from our incredibly hectic lives.
By far this was the best place I have ever stayed due to many reasons but the top two for me were: (1) The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful and (2) The FOOD was SUPERB!!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful place.
My husband and I had an absolutely amazing time! We really want to find the time and money to return and we've been telling all of our family and friends about this great place. We want to make this place a tradition for our family. The food was nothing short of fantastic, the staff was so friendly and the other guests were great too! It's a very homey and family oriented vacation that is normally hard to come by anymore.
As usual our experience at Heartland Lodge is over and above! We love everthing about it. It is such a beautiful place to relax or play! You can gaurantee that we will be back next year-it is an anual vacation for us. Thank you for being so accommodating, and to your staff they are all so courteous and friendly. It was an amazing night away! Our room was amazing and the bed was super comfortable. Ms. Wanda made us feel right at home and welcome from the moment we arrived till the hug when we left. We wish we could have stayed longer! The food was absolutely delicious. We're also glad we hiked, so we could enjoy it all!
Every single thing was better than we had heard, read, or expected. The meals were incredible. The room was way, way nicer than we imagined it might be. All the staff was friendly, helpful, and engaging. We will be back soon!
The homemade food, quality, attention to detail, and service made our stay exceptional. It was quiet, warm, and exactly what my husband and I were looking for in our short getaway!! Exploring the property and an afternoon picnic were just a few of the priceless memories we made!
The only thing better than the meals--which were fabulous--was the hospitality! We enjoyed the Christian atmosphere as well!
There is nothing bad I could say about our stay, it was totally awesome! We loved the way the meals were set up, and saying grace made it feel like family. We were able to get to know some great people and the staff was also the best! I truly wish I lived nearby so I could be a part of the Heartland family of employees... or just family period! We loved it!
My parents Chris and Jo Balensiefen, have visited Heartland Lodge on 7 or 8 trips. My husband and I received a gift certificate to join them to go 4 wheeling and we can't wait to visit again. We've shared pictures on facebook and family and friends keep asking about it. We are highly recommending it! Hard to believe something like Heartland is so close to home. See you all next year!
We wanted a little getaway and found a little bit of heaven! It was beyond anything we could have imagined. Such incredible meals! Our room is like being in our own little cabin. Everything is a class act- the quality of the lodge, furnishings, etc. Wanda is a delightful sweetheart and so helpful. Meeting and talking with the other guests was a pleasant bonus! Even in the winter we found places to explore. We would return in a heartbeat!
We fell in love with this place the minute we walked in. We enjoyed our wedding in front of the fireplace in the Orginial Lodge. We are planning on returning next year to stay at your new property to celebrate our anniversary.
The overall experience at Heartland Lodge had us wishing we had booked a week instead of an overnight stay. Everything from the prayers before the meals to the room's luxurious accomodations creates an ambiance and feeling of indulgent pampering. What a wonderful experience. From check-in to check-out, one of the best get-away experiences I have ever experienced. Ms. Wanda went out of her way to make us feel special and welcome. The food was delicious. The lodge and grounds were beautiful. We will definitely be back and will share our experience with family and friends.

This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and wow what a treat!! I have told everyone I know about your place! The best part is you are in our own backyard! We came mostly to ride the trails, but once inside the lodge it was hard to leave! I now want to come see each season at Heartland Lodge! Keep doing what you are doing!
