Youth Upland Hunt & Fishing Adventure at Heartland Lodge
Join us this September at Heartland Lodge for an unforgettable youth hunting and fishing experience, a one-of-a-kind adventure that your children, grandchildren and yourself will remember and cherish for many years to come! This unique experience combines the thrill of pheasant and quail hunting, large mouth bass fishing, Polaris UTV riding (1,200 acres/ 60+ miles of trails), gourmet meals and a round of sporting clays! All-Inclusive Hunt Package Includes:
- Pheasant & Quail Hunt (two morning hunts) – Kick off the morning with an action-packed pheasant and quail hunt, guided by expert handlers and well-trained bird dogs. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced hunter, this is the perfect opportunity to learn and enjoy the tradition of upland hunting.
- Fishing Adventure (two afternoons) – After your morning hunt, we’ll serve a homecooked gourmet lunch at noon, and then switch gears and spend the afternoon fishing one of our four ponds, teeming with largemouth bass (up to 8 pound bass have been caught in our ponds!), crappie, bluegill, and more!
- Polaris UTV Rental (two afternoons)– Explore the lodge grounds with ease and ride in style between hunting and fishing locations with a Polaris UTV rental included in your package. (Our fishing ponds are only accessible by UTV) *must be 12 years of age and older to be a passenger, 18 years of age or older to drive.
- Gourmet Meals – 3 AMAZING meals a day- prepared fresh daily by our chefs! Arrival day supper is served at 6 PM. 8 AM breakfast on your morning of departure.
- Round of Sporting Clays (arrival day)- 50 clays per hunter
- Lodging – accommodations included is a standard room in the Original Lodge with either two twin beds or bunk beds. Private rooms, luxury suites or cabins are available for an additional nightly fee.

September Youth Hunt Getaway Package Pricing
All-inclusive hunt package for 1 adult hunter and 1 youth hunter under the age of 18: $3,801*. Additional hunters and non-hunters can be added for an additional fee.
Includes 3 nights and 2 days. (2) half day upland hunts, (2) four hour Polaris UTV rentals. Meals, lodging, game cleaning, guiding, (2) half rounds of sporting clays on arrival day.
UTV Rental- $1,500 damage deposit fee required each day of riding.
Hunting & fishing licenses not included. Can be purchased online at the Illinois DNR website. Fishing is catch and release.
