I recently hunted in late October 2015. I must say it was everything I expected and more. The staff and guides are top shelf and really took the time to talk to and listen to our needs. My guide Matt “Yankee” Brunet is truly one of the best. The weather did not cooperate with us at all, it was hotter in Illinois than it was back home here in Texas which made the deer movement real slow. The younger bucks were starting to pester the does, just not the older bucks. But with that said, I saw lots of deer and had several shot opportunities, just not at the deer I was looking for. I want to thank Gary, Matt, and Ms. Wanda for an absolutely wonderful experience and I’m already planning my return trip!! “Aim small, Miss small”
