Mount Sterling is truly charming and nostalgic during the holiday season. “The Rink” in uptown, offers a unique event that families and couples can enjoy throughout the winter. It’s a wonderful daytime or evening activity. Unlike several other outdoor ice skating rinks in Illinois, Mount Sterling’s rink is not dependent on freezing temperatures. They use a chiller system that maintains the ice even in temperatures up to 65 degrees! The Rink normally runs the day after Thanksgiving through the second Sunday of January.
Experience “Night at the Races”
One of the most entertaining seasonal events in the area is the popular “Night at the Races.” Guests can enjoy the excitement of simulated horse racing, friendly competition, great food, and plenty of laughs. These events are perfect for groups, couples, and friends looking for a unique evening of entertainment during their getaway.
