David Ward’s Combo Archery/Gun Hunt
Our good friend David Ward harvested this heavy mass split brow 11pt. David had an incredible week of hunting. He first started out hunting the archery week before the shotgun season. David saw shooters almost every day and came very close to arrowing a bruiser 150” 10pt. The nice buck just did not give David a good shot. He then switched over to a gun hunt. His first day was a little slow with no shooters seen. The weather conditions were tough as high winds were present on day one and two. But David was fortunate to see a very nice shooter checking out the bedding areas on the morning of day two. The afternoon of day two was still very windy but David felt very confident that he was going to see a nice shooter. His confidence paid off as this nice 11pt came into a food plot he was hunting over, scent checking the does. David put a good shot on the buck and he only went about 40yrds into the timber. Congratulations David!!
